Immersing myself into the fashion world has opened my eyes to the lifestyle of “fast fashion” and I find myself questioning whether or not I want to be a participant despite my love for clothes, style and trends.
What is fast fashion? Fast fashion describes the way retailers continue to churn trends from catwalk to consumer faster and faster giving us all more opportunities to buy. The result is increased textile waste, renewable resource waste, the opportunity for terrible working conditions, abuse and unfair wages to adults and children. I no longer want to promote that. I want to share with you all sustainable brands and products that make you feel like you look good, while doing good.
Moving forward, I’m striving to be ecological, sustainable and fair towards my lifestyle choices. I am giving up cravings for retail therapy and finding the best deal. Instead I’ll be focusing on DIY projects and thrifting and will share my transition with you all on this blog. I hope you all will follow along and be inspired to go “eco” too.
xo,
