Non Stressful Eco Friendly and “Eco”nomical Date Ideas

Non Stressful Eco Friendly and “Eco”nomical Date Ideas

Valentines day should be the most un-stressful day of the year. After all, love should be a de-stressor! With Valentines Day being tomorrow, this post is for the “romantic procrastinators” because they are so simple, yet thoughtful. Best of all, these dates take max one trip to the store if any. I also love how these dates don’t require giving into purchasing any unnecessary Valentines Day “things” and instead focus on building a relationship (eco friendly win!). Here are some unique dates you should try tomorrow or any other time this year.

Fort night

Remember when you were little and would build forts just so you could have your own “secret space”? Well gather all of your pillows, chairs, blankets and string lights and bring your inner child back to life. Funny fact, I actually forgot how to build a fort and forgot about how using pillows as weights and sheets as walls was like. We had so much fun with this idea and if this is a first date, this is the perfect opportunity to share some childhood memories with your boo.

Le Spa at home

Turn your bathroom into a full on spa! Bring out the essential oils and bubble bath. For aesthetics, purchase a wild flower bouquet and spread the flower petals everywhere. Cut some cucumbers for your eyes (this still makes my eyes feel amazing). Heat it up a notch by giving each other massages.

A taste of Italy

We love good food and we love learning new things together. Instead of taking a cooking class away, have your own cooking night and learn a new craft from YouTube. We found a vintage pasta maker and decided to take a stab at our favorite sundried tomato basil fettuccini pasta.

Romantic sunset hike and picnic

If you’re here in California, winter is never really too harsh. Find a nice trail near you (I love the site AllTrails), pack a nice picnic dinner and share a sunset together. Remember couples who workout together stay together!

Even after getting married and having an anniversary in September, Josh and I still celebrate our February dating anniversary because I feel like that’s where the journey and the milestones still are with us. You already know that we did each of these dates already this month.
