And so the story begins.
We thought we would get married in the eye of a hurricane.
Josh and I were married on September 1 in Kapolei, Oahu at Lanikuhonua Beach. We had 65 of our best friends and family come spend the week with us. We arrived in Oahu 5 days before the big day with a full schedule. There were final meetings, last minute errands and DIY projects to be done. When everything seemed like it was going perfect, we realized that we might be getting married in the eye of a hurricane. Both hurricane Madeline and Lester were headed straight for the Island on the day we were planning to get married. My wedding planner mentioned things like move the wedding up a day or back a day and change the wedding venue. Frantically I looked at Josh and he said, “I have a good feeling about this, let’s not change anything” and he was right, the day was perfect and not a rain drop fell until 9:50 p.m. ten minutes before our reception came to an end.
