You just arrived in a tropical paradise and are unzipping your suitcase with two goals: relax and explore a new place! Your plans for the rest of the afternoon and first day of vacation? Exploring the city, possibly hike, find something local and fresh to eat and then go for a night swim. The last thing you want to do is waste time thinking about what you’re going to wear!
smaller bag = less emission output = happier planet
I travel to the tropics a few times a year and I like to pack as minimally as possible. Packing minimally is key for any conscious consumer. The weight and amount of luggage you bring contributes to the overall weight of the plane. The weight of the plane determines how much fuel it burns, which ultimately impacts the amount of CO2 that’s emitted into our air. So, smaller bag = less emission output = happier planet. I can confidently say I have perfected the perfect minimalist packing list for the adventure maximizer.
It’s really important that the beauty products I use are clean, cruelty-free, free of parabens, sulfates and any chemicals that I can’t pronounce. It can get really expensive if every serum, body wash, scrub, etc I buy is over $40 though, so a lot of products I try out are clean products I find at Target or Amazon that don’t cost more than $15. I like to provide you guys with reviews on some of the best clean beauty products out there, which is what brings me to today’s blog featuring the new Alba Botanica® Acnedote line.
Even though we have been purchasing sustainable and ethical apparel over the past year, we still wear a lot of our older clothes because they are still wearable. That’s the beauty of buying less! I also have more time to research and find sustainable and ethical brands that I want to try in the future. Threads 4 Thought has been a clothing brand on my list for a while because they sell clothing for men and women. Last month we finally got a chance to try out a few of their pieces.
