My Seaside Wedding Recap

Last week I got a little package with Hurricane Popcorn (my ultimate favorite popcorn ever), Aloha Macs and OUR WEDDING VIDEO!  It’s my first time sharing so much of my personal life on this blog. It’s always been a dream of mine to inspire others to love one another more, so I hope you watch this video inspired to show your people some love this week.

Fun facts you didn’t know about our wedding and us:

  1.  My dad officiated the wedding. Yep! He officiated mine, by sister’s and my cousin’s.
  2. We did our vows in 3 languages: English, Hawaiian and Hebrew. The best part about having your father officiate your wedding is the “Dad” that gets incorporated into the vows. My family is a little quirky, we live eat and breath Hawaii, but we are Taiwanese; and my parents are Messianic Jews (hence the Hawaiian and Hebrew). My Dad made us repeat our vows in each language. We thought they would never end!
  3. We are best friends. There is nothing Josh and I don’t share! Secrets, food, clothes, you name it.
  4. We fight like best friends. The other night we actually wrestled each other to the thermostat. I was turning on the heat and he was turning on the air. I lost only because I realized in the heat of the moment..that we are weird.
  5. There were 2 hurricanes within hours of our wedding. You might not be able to tell because of the beautiful skies, but we were so worried a hurricane was going to hit us during the wedding. The morning of, it miraculously cleared up. Skies were clear right up until our wedding ended at 10 p.m. and then it instantly started pouring rain!
  6. Our ceremony and reception did not take place at the Marriott. We got ready at the Marriott and then moved to Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute, run by a cute island woman with lot’s of chickens! That’s where all of the breath taking shots at the end were filmed.

Aloha!
