With Paris fashion week and New York fashion week recently behind us, I thought I’d share some of my favorite “trends” that came out of many SS18 or Spring/Summer 2018 collections.
This post may seem a little off because it’s rare to hear an eco blogger talking about trends. However I love keeping up with fashion because what better direction to have while thrift shopping?
I am also linking some pieces from eco and sustainable companies because many of these companies still take these ideas into consideration while creating their spring lines. I try to buy from companies that are eco and sustainable because it’s nice to know that the money is going towards better wages and cleaner manufacturing processes.
Living a sustainable or eco friendly life does not mean you have to compromise the things you love, and for me, it’s the creativity of fashion. So continue reading for the first SS18 trend I recommend hunting for this season.
Bold Colors
Remember the original 8 pack of Crayons? The idea is to choose one of these bold colors and rock it. I recommend just wearing one of these colors at a time and pairing it with some neutrals. The colors I have my eye on right now are red, green and yellow.
Now you choose a color! I’ve linked some sustainable pieces that could be options for your own eco friendly wardrobe:
Red
Yellow
Pink
Green
Orange
Blue
Thrifting Tip for finding bold colors: go in with an open mind, but know the colors you want to look out for not just on garments, but accessories too.
I want this series of posts to inspire you to shop second hand, because there is no better feeling of getting a second hand piece that is right on trend and right on the money.
xo,
